2018 Gift Guide for Bilingual Babies

For those of you who still don’t have your holiday shopping done, we’ve put together  some of ideas for the bilingual babies in your life! (I should note that this post only includes toys and books that have official bilingual components because we know that’s something many parents want, but ALL toys have the potential for bilingualism if you play with them in Spanish or your target-language!)

If feel a connection to Latin America and the Caribbean (in particular, Puerto Rico) you’ll love ¿Dónde está el coquí? by VeoLeo  Your budding Spanish speaker will learn numbers, active verbs, and animals, while following the sweet coquí on its adventures.

As we’ve mentioned before,  Fisher-Price has a number of fun bilingual options for the younger set.

Leapfrog also has a great line of bilingual toys, including this drum:, which is a great gift for an aunt or uncle to gift a niece or nephew (but if you have to live in the same house as the drum, think long and hard about your home’s acoustics!).

Babies loooove soft, crinkly blocks, so why not gift them ones that have the added benefit of multiple languages? We like these blocks even more because their tiny green frog looks so much like the coqui and could be paired well with ¿Dónde está el coquí? by VeoLeo

For those babies who are on the cusp of toddlerhood (or already there), this bilingual colors puzzle is a great option! (So much so, that we also featured it last year!)

And if you’re in the market for something new, educational, and well-crafted check out Wordy Toys! They offer a great line of bilingual puzzles and toys. These won’t be available for holiday delivery, but they have a great online sale going on (50% off and free shipping!) and are good enough for you to stock pile for the coming year!
